Don’t worry, below I will show you how to connect your Xiaomi device to your computer, either via USB connection or via Wi-Fi, in case you don’t have a USB cable available. If you want to know more about conclusivenews.com I leave you my dedicated tutorial. What do you say, let’s get started right away?

Connect Xiaomi to PC with USB

You want to connect Xiaomi to the PC with USB,  but you don’t know how to proceed. You don’t know if you need to download special drivers or even use proprietary software. Don’t worry, I’ll show you everything in detail.

The first thing you need to do is connect your Xiaomi smartphone to the PC using the USB cable present in the sales package. If you have a PC with Windows 10 or Windows 11 as soon as you connect your smartphone, the PC will automatically install the necessary drivers (make sure the PC is connected to the Internet ). If, on the other hand, you have a PC with an older version of Windows, you may need to manually install the drivers , which you can download from the official Xiaomi community website .

Once you have installed the necessary drivers on your PC, take your smartphone and you will notice that a pop-up has appeared on the screen asking you how you want to connect the smartphone to the PC: tap on File transfers / Android Auto and wait that the smartphone is recognized by the PC.

Once this is done, on the PC click on the File Explorer icon located in the bottom bar and from the side menu click on the item corresponding to the name of your smartphone , even if at times it could be generically referred to as USB MTP Device . Then click on Internal memory , if you want to act on files present on the internal memory, or on SD card , if you want to act on the external memory.

If, on the other hand, you simply want to transfer all the photos on your smartphone, you can use the Photos app present by default within Windows 10 and Windows 11. To do so, click on the Start button (flag icon) present in the bottom bar, type photos on the keyboard and click on the first suggestion that appears in the list. Now connect the smartphone to the PC, but this time from the pop-up that appears on the screen, tap on Transfer photos .

The app will automatically detect the newly connected smartphone, but if not, click on the Import button (icon of a photo with an arrow pointing down) at the top right and from the menu that appears click on the item From a connected device . If you want to get further information on 100celebrities.com please consult the guide that I linked to you: I am sure that this reading will also be useful to you. After a few seconds of analysis, the app will show you all the photos inside the device.

Now select the photos you want to import by clicking on each of them; or, if you want to select them all, from the Select menu click on the item All elements . To start importing the photos on the PC then click on the Import XX of XX elements button , moreover, if you want to directly delete the photos on your smartphone, set the check mark on the item Delete the original elements after importing .

By default the photos will be saved in the Windows Pictures folder . To reach this folder, just click on File Explorer and then click on the Images item in the side menu.

Do you own a Mac and have you noticed that following the same instructions I gave you for Windows PC your Xiaomi device is not detected? In this case you will need to download and install the Android File Transfer application , which will allow you to access the internal memory and SD card on your Android smartphone from the Mac.
