The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, CNN, TMZ, and Big Umbrella management verified Carter’s death.

The house sitter found his body in the bathtub at 11 a.m.

The standard protocol for such deaths is to send homicide detectives to the scene. No foul play has been reported, law enforcement officials told TMZ.

Carter was engaged to singer Melanie Martin and has a son named Prince Lyric Carter.

Aaron Carter recorded his debut CD when he was 9 and opened for the Backstreet Boys, of which his brother Nick Carter was a member.

Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) was his first hit at age 12. This album peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and sold 3 million copies.

Carter released three more studio albums, including 2018’s “Love,” after coming out as bisexual in 2017.

He appeared on Lizzie McGuire, which made him popular with teenage girls and Dancing With The Stars.

Hilary Duff, who dated Carter, shared a beautiful tribute on Instagram. “I’m sorry you had to battle in front of everyone,” Duff replied.
